Our Programs

The classroom is divided into distinct areas or learning centers. Learning centers provide opportunities for hands-on reinforcement of concepts, and skills that have been introduced in a whole-group setting.

Because children learn best through active exploration and concrete experience, learning centers make up the largest portion of the daily schedule in the early childhood classroom.

Learning centers are not just free to play. They are planned and organized to give support to the themes, skills, and concepts being taught.

Two and half year old to Three-year-olds

Our program provides lessons on teaching the preschoolers colors, shapes, numbers up to 10, and some of their alphabet. Some lessons are for children beginning to paint and glue.

We also provide the words to songs/finger rhymes along with other fun activities. For Religion we will use the Stories of God’s Love paired with Bible stories, prayer and time spent in Prayer Room.

Three-year old to three and half-year-olds

Play more sociable while they are with other children in a controlled environment. They can pick up tiny objects; they can hold a paintbrush and sometimes can draw a figure. They can work on tasks such as block building in cooperation with other children in a more cooperative way.

Books are a staple of our program and provide a resource for our Circle Time. During Circle Time, the children are given the opportunity to talk in full sentences. Children of this age also enjoy participating in rhymes and songs.

Four-year olds to five-year-olds

Endlessly curious and are enthusiastic about everything. The block corner, the easel, and Lego blocks are still used by this group, but they are used in different ways.

We provide equipment that can be arranged by the children themselves to satisfy the adventurousness that is a hallmark of this age. We have many sorting, matching, and classifying games.

These are valuable learning tools, as are books, sensory materials, and a very simple hands-on carefully supervised science experiments. The songs and games that help children learn about their body parts are fun and are an important part of our curriculum.
